Since 2009, we have been increasing building’s performance and health & wellbeing, with only around 1% increase in construction cost. This makes it economically viable to reach the highest levels of certifications. It also produces buildings with lower emissions and lower climate risk.

The result is that Petinelli is responsible for 20% of all LEED Platinum certified buildings in Latin America. On average, these buildings use 40% less energy and 65% less water. Our portfolio of projects includes some of the most sustainable buildings in the world and several leadership achievements:

Our multidisciplinary team of over 80 professionals draws on a broad range of experiences to deliver creative and cost-effective engineering solutions. Together we hold 63 international professional credentials. Our team works with some of the most prominent architect firms including Foster+Partners, MVRDV, Bjarke Ingels and Isay Weinfeld.

In 2019, we received the USGBC Leadership Award, and in 2020 we were featured on the cover of USGBC+ Magazine’s winter issue. In 2021, one of our residential projects, received the USGBC LEED Homes Award as “Project of the Year”. In 2024, we received the International WELL Building Institute’s Leadership Award for our pioneering work with the WELL Building Standard.

 

We are also a member of the LEED Proven Provider program. And, both our CEO and COO are LEED Fellows, the highest honor that can be bestowed by the Green Business Certification Institute (GBCI).
